Economics Program:
This program is designed to introduce our children to the concepts of money management and banking. Students earn tokens for positive behaviors such as; reading books or helping with clean up. Students are assigned "bank" accounts into which they deposit or withdraw tokens earned. The tokens are used to purchase items such as; toys, portable radios and many other items from a merchandise cabinet located in the youth center.
Reading Master Program:
The goal of this program is to increase the number of books read by our students. As an incentive to read, tokens are awarded based on the number of pages read. Since this program began (November 1999) the students have read more than one thousand books.
Summer Camp:
New Hope Charities offers a full time five day a week summer camp for sixty-five local area youth. Activities include weekly field trips, recreational activities, arts & crafts and more.
