Adult & Community Programs
This program provides relief to 193 families who meet the federal poverty guidelines. Every month food bags weighing as much as fifty pounds are assembled and distributed throughout the Pahokee and Belle Glade communities.
New Hope Charities depends heavily upon local area volunteers who assist staff on a monthly basis with the preparation of the food bags. In addition, volunteers often assist during special events such as our toy give away and youth field trips. Approximately sixty volunteers contribute to the success of our food program, summer camps and special events.
During the school year New Hope conducts bi-monthly parent meetings for the purpose keeping parents up to date on activities and involved in what their children are doing at New Hope. Parent meetings are a wonderful opportunity for children to present plays, songs and projects.
As part of our parent nights, we provide educational workshops for parents and adult members of the community through collaborations with; Healthy Mother’s Healthy Babies, PNC Bank, Food Alliance and Grace Healthcare Solutions.
